The earliest types of beaded adornments discovered were made with natural items our ancestors encountered in nature, shells. My version features a shell of sorts, a cast of a genuine fossilized trilobite exoskeleton.
Trilobite fossils are abundant throughout the world. I like to think that someone, somewhere in prehistory crossed paths with one, thought it was as cool looking as I do and decided it was worthy to adorn their body :)
