Kosmoceras Necklace

Regular price $ 148.00

  • a complete, three dimensional cast of a genuine kosmoceras ammonite fossil  with incredible details, just look at those spiny tubercles!
  • pendant measures .75" x .5" and is available in white brass or yellow brass, antiqued to highlight the details
  • hangs from an antiqued sterling silver chain measuring 26", leave a note at checkout if you'd like a different length but please note that the pendant is spiny - I recommend wearing over clothing, not right against the skin

Ammonites are an extinct species of predatory marine mollusk. They lived in the last chamber of their coiled shells, where their soft body would be anchored and their tentacles would hang out the end, picture a modern day nautilus. They went extinct the same time as the non avian dinosaurs, about 66 million years ago.
